First Official Still From ‘Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday’

Posted in The Screening Room by - March 19, 2015

It’s a sight for sore eyes for those of us who’ve been listening to Paul Rubens jaw on over the years about his desire to reprise the role of Mr. Herman, while we devout fans shouted this news again and again upon the deaf and uncaring ears of our friends and significant others. Well Lo, since Netflix decided it would be a good idea to make a Pee-Wee film, and Judd Apatow decided it would be cool of him to produce it, things started looking up, and here it is, the definitive proof that it’s happening.

Via his official site, Rubens has shared a new photo of his eternal inner man child looking wistfully out of the passenger seat of a car, too lost in thought about the deeper human implications of his recent antics no doubt to bother buckling his seatbelt. Pee-Wee’s Big Holiday has just begun production. We don’t have an official release date yet, but expect to see it on Netflix in the not so distant and no longer hypothetical future.
