The Nightmare Before Christmas

Posted in Kulturecast by - September 26, 2015

As we near the end of our Singin’ September marathon, we noticed one film hadn’t made our list that many of our readers had requested: The Nightmare Before Christmas. So we decided, why not talk about one of Disney’s most memorable musicals. The film tells the tale of Jack Skellington, one of the members of Halloween Town, as he stumbles across Christmas Town, and then wants to kidnap Sandy Claws so he can replace him. The film features some iconic music from Danny Elfman, the signature stop-motion direction of Henry Selnick, and a story from one of the master storytellers, Tim Burton.
