‘Arrested Development’ Returns to Netflix in 2016!

Posted in The Screening Room by - June 02, 2015

Time reports that fan favorite Arrested Development is returning for a fifth season to Netflix. Producer Brian Gazer states:

Netflix is determined to do more episodes, so we’re going to do more episodes,’ Grazer said on the Adam Corolla Show podcast Tuesday. He added that production for the fifth season will begin on Jan. 1 with new episodes premiering ‘four months after that.’

Despite its relatively low ratings during its original 3 season run on Fox, Arrested Development was a critical darling and gained a large following which led to a successful fourth season. As a huge fan of the show, I’m glad to see the show returning for at least one more year after rumors of an Arrested Development film never really went anywhere after years. Anyone else excited about this?
