In breaking news, Marvel has announced that it will be partnering with Sony to bring Spider-Man officially into the MCU fold. Spider-Man will first appear in an MCU film (I’d guess Civil War), and then receive his own solo film on July 28, 2017. Also, four films in Phase 3 have now had their release dates altered. Thor: Ragnarok will now hit theaters November 3, 2017, Black Panther will make its way to theaters on July 6, 2018, Captain Marvel  has been moved to November 2, 2018, and Inhumans will now debut in theaters on July 12, 2019. The implications for this are pretty big as it seems Sony is completely scrapping their larger plans for the Spider-Man universe, including the Venom and Sinister Six films. It seems that Spider-Man will be recast as well. Look tomorrow for a breakdown of the implications of this deal as more details surface.
