‘Neighbors 2’ Greenlit: It’s Time to Party Again

Posted in The Screening Room by - February 06, 2015

Neighbors was arguably the best comedy of 2014, and today Universal Pictures has announced that the sequel, Neighbors 2, will be released on May 13, 2016. After making $268 million worldwide, it is no surprise that a sequel has already been put in the works.

According to Movies.com:

Neighbors director Nicholas Stoller is returning for the sequel, along with Rogen, Efron and Byrne. This time around, however, Rogen and Byrne enlist Efron’s help when a rowdy sorority moves in next door.

While that plot description is as plain as it gets, it hopefully allows for the Rogen/Efron relationship to grow into a more friendly one, while keeping the hilarious shenanigans that made the original Neighbors so memorable.
