‘Ted 2’ Trailer: He’s Baaaack

Posted in The Screening Room by - January 29, 2015

Admittedly, I was a pretty big fan of the first Ted movie as it was essentially a live-action Family Guy film, with Ted as the stand-in for Brian. Mark Wahlberg and Seth McFarlane’s voice (he also returns to direct) return this summer for more shenanigans and some less than savory behavior this summer. The trailer from YouTube is below:

While the overarching plot doesn’t appear super interesting, Ted 2 does look to retain the excellent chemistry between the two leads and undoubtedly some laughs as well. The story is a thinly veiled allegory for minority rights (perhaps gay rights in the current political climate), and it will be interesting to see if it is handled with any tact. Who am I kidding? It’s a Seth McFarlane movie. It won’t be.

From the trailer, it appears that Morgan Freeman and Amanda Seyfriend have substantial roles as well. Ted 2 will be released on June 26, 2015.

Anyone excited for the film?
