‘Star Trek 3’ To Be Co-Written By Simon Pegg

Posted in The Screening Room by - January 22, 2015

Simon Pegg, along with Doug Jung, will be penning the newest Star Trek 3, a film that has been mired in problems since Roberto Orci was released as the director of the film. Jung was responsible for Dark Blue on TNT and Pegg has obviously played Scotty in the previous two Star Trek films.

I’m excited to see where Pegg and Jung take the newest Star Trek film as Pegg has been intimately involved with the franchise. I think that Pegg has a good head on his shoulders when it comes to scriptwriting, as seen by his involvement with Spaced and Shaun of the Dead, and he can bring a hint of humor to the film that it has been lacking in the previous two. It should be interesting to say the least.
