Fox in Talks to Bring Back ‘The X-Files’

Posted in The Screening Room by - January 17, 2015

As if by the grace of the science fiction gods, it has been announced that The X-Files is in discussions  to be brought back by Fox. FOX TV Group Chairman Gary Newman spoke about reviving the beloved franchise during their presentation at TCA. Newman also added that he is looking to bring back both David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson for the rebooted show.

The fact that the president of Fox TV is talking about bringing back The X-Files bodes well for the show actually returning as opposed to a movie. While the two movies were ok, the first more than the second, a continuation of the show is what the fans, including myself, really want. I cannot wait to see where this goes, but fingers crossed that we will see another season of my favorite television show of all time very soon.
