‘Jurassic World’ Viral Site Launches

Posted in The Screening Room by - November 17, 2014

Taking a cue from The Dark Knight and PrometheusJurassic World has launched a viral website for the Masrani Corporation. The fictional Masrani company seems to have purchased InGen after the San Diego Incident that takes place in The Lost World. The Masrani Corporation then seems to have done the impossible and opened Jurassic Park to the public. The viral website is filled with all sorts of easter egg nuggets, the most interesting being the reappearance of Dr. Henry Wu, a tertiary character from Jurassic Park

Along with Henry Wu, there is a first look at Simon Masrani, played by Irrfan Khan, who has taken the place of John Hammond as the eccentric billionaire of the series.

The website is an interesting first look at the new direction of the franchise. It looks to incorporate some of the original franchise with new faces while keeping the original tone of the first two films. With Colin Trevarrow at the helm, it should be an interesting and hopefully faithful chapter in a very nostalgic series.
