Sony Unveils New TV Service “PlayStation Vue”

Posted in The Screening Room by - November 13, 2014

So after Sony and gamers dogged Xbox for having a focus on TV and not games, Sony Entertainment is getting ready to roll out it’s own TV service for PS4. Closed regional Betas for New York City, Chicago, LA, and a few other select markets will start later this month, with a full US release scheduled for early 2015.

Playstation Vue is subscription based service that is going to provide access to live and on-demand content without the need for a cable/satellite subscription. There are currently six network partners that will be providing access to 75 channels.

  • CBS
  • Discovery Communications
  • Fox
  • NBCUniversal
  • Scripps Network Interactive
  • Viacom
