Michelle MacLaren to Direct “Wonder Woman”?

Posted in The Screening Room by - November 13, 2014

Michelle MacLaren has made quite the name for herself during her directorial stints on Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, although despite her small screen success, she has yet to get a motion picture feature. Warner Bros. has been looking for a director to helm the DC comics adaptation of Wonder Woman film since its announcement, and rumors have swirled that they would prefer a female director.

Variety reports that MacLaren is actually already in talks to direct the film, although Warner Bros. has yet to confirm this report.

As a fan of her previous work, MacLaren could bring an attention to detail and eye for action that could greatly benefit Wonder Woman, and it would hopefully leave the character as a household name while opening doors for MacLaren.

Wonder Woman is expected to open in the summer of 2017, with Gal Gadot attached to star after her introduction in Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. We’ll keep you posted as this story updates, but it seems like a great fit on the surface. Thoughts?
