Casper/Richie Rich

Posted in Kulturecast by - May 14, 2015

It’s another Kulturecast and this week we are knee-deep in our Comic-Book Movie month with two films based on old-school comic-book properties: Richie Rich and Casper. The prevailing theory, popularized by The Simpsonsis that Casper is the ghost of Richie Rich, a fan theory that makes sense when you look at the source material. Along with talk about both films, we also spoke with Joe Nipote, who voiced Uncle Stretch in Casper about his time on the film, what the process was like to create the character, and the audition process.

As always, you can follow Chris Stachiw on Twitter at @HeelStach, John Lein at @JohnLein1, Joe Nipote at @JoeNipote and Kulture Shocked at @KultureShocked. You can also subscribe to the Kulturecast on iTunes here and also on Stitcher here. Also, don’t forget to check out our official Facebook page for news, upcoming reviews, contests, and new content.

Chris Stachiw is the Editor-in-Chief and co-host of the Kulturecast. He’s a native Californian with a penchant for sarcasm and a taste for the cinematic bizarre. You’ll often find him wandering the wasteland of Nebraska searching for the meaning of life and possibly another rare Pokemon.
